ABOUT CAKES FOR CAUSE Cakes for Cause operates the social enterprise, Moxie Bakery & Cafe in the Bernard W. Brown community Center in downtown Frederick’s vibrant North End. The cafe serves as a teaching classroom for youth who have aged out of the foster care system, who are living in public housing, or who are involved with juvenile services. Open to the public and serving breakfast, lunch, small plates and brunch, the Cakes for Cause program serves as a vital link for youth as they enter adulthood by providing them with real skills and support within the community.
DON’T MISS OUR NEXT CHARITY RUN: The “No Place Like Home” 5K and “Follow the Yellow Brick Road Walk-A-Thon” benefiting Habitat for Humanity will be held on October 27th in Baker Park. (Frederick, MD) These events will feature a Wizard of Oz theme and costumes are welcome and encouraged! (Just in time for Halloween!)
